Advisory & Small Groups

A key aspect of spiritual maturity is to CONNECT students through authentic community. Prestonwood Christian Academy is committed to reaching every student and making sure they feel known, seen and loved. Each week, students in Pre-Kindergarten-6th Grade will have a weekly time to meet in their homeroom classes for discussion and prayer.  Our 7-11th Grade students also meet weekly with their advisory groups. Our advisory program ensures that every student has a faculty or staff mentor to meet with to build an environment of community that fosters authentic discussion on the chapel lesson or cultural issues. It is a valuable resource beyond a traditional classroom curriculum to build time for connection and mentorship. Small groups in the classroom and advisory offer our students the opportunity to grow and develop relationships with their peers as well as an adult who can provide support and encouragement as they seek to grow, serve and learn.
