Library Resource Center
The primary goal of the North Campus Library, serving students in grades PK through Upper School, is to instill an awareness in children that books are a fundamental component of their lives. The Library Resource Center provides opportunities for students and staff to read for information and recreation, as well as practice the literacy skills they need in the real word. Our library is a friendly environment with many print and electronic resources.
North Campus students visit the library weekly. Developmentally-appropriate library skills lessons and story time are part of the library curriculum. As students learn to discern truth through critical analysis of printed material, lessons are designed to further their research skills. Lower School students are expected to spend some time each week reading for enjoyment in their classrooms.
Additionally, at the North Campus Lower School offers various reading programs to emphasize and further instill a love for reading and learning. Books are at the heart of the library.
