Academic Strengths

Excellent Faculty and Staff

PCA North has a highly skilled staff that loves teaching and is passionate about preparing our students for today and the future. Each child is stretched to capacity of their ability. On a recent parent survey, 100% of parents indicated that the educational experience is of high quality, and 100% were confident that teachers use a variety of teaching strategies and learning activities. We have several PCA Alumni on our staff. They want to help others experience Kingdom education – the rigor in the curriculum, the spiritual development and making friends who last a lifetime.

Rich Heritage of Excellence in Education

After nearly twenty years, Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano was opening a second campus and it was up to Donna Gilson, as the inaugural principal of PCA North, to hire the teachers. For 17 years, families had come to depend on PCA’s Plano campus to impart a Christ-centered world view to their children, while challenging them with rigorous academics and providing a well-rounded school experience, nurturing the whole child—body, mind and spirit. Since 1997 PCA had partnered with parents and the church to foster character, leadership, and integrity, turning out young people prepared not only to succeed in high school and college but in life. Now the tradition was to continue with a second location in Prosper.
